I have been doing weekly life drawing classes and I draw every day on the train to work. I’ve been running a new drawing blog to track my progress and as a new home for any gallery visits etc: After a 20years absence on that I needed to relearn my skills so a self-taught approach was the most flexible for me. I enjoyed the art history in this course immensely and I rediscovered my love of drawing. You can start the course whenever you like but you may not get the full two years as it always ends Aug 31 st and you only have 4 years to do one entire level (even though by the maths of the 3 course allowances it should take 6), so good luck if you have a baby in the middle of that! Regardless, I’ve popped back here for a nicer ending to my time with the OCA with a follow up on what this course lead to onto.

Essentially I felt that if I could never have completed the course in time then why did they event let me pay for it? I’ll reiterate my takeaway point which was to make sure to read the fine print of the course materials about doing a degree pathway and do the maths on exactly when things need to be finished by. I’ve made that last post private now, it summarised my feelings at the time of being kicked off the degree pathway without having this course assessed. So it’s been a year or so (since sept 2017) since I last posted on this blog and I didn’t leave here on a good note.
